The Schwedler Tree was developed in Silesia ( Pommern ) circa 1850. It was developed by Heinrich Conrad Leopold Schwedler, a Gardener at a Mental Hospital in Hanau. He was the son of Leonhard Christian Schwedler, born May 3, 1775; died July 2, 1854. Heinrich was born in Cassel Germany in 1800. He died on Nov.30.1878 in Fulda. He Had 5 Daughters and 2 sons. The two sons were also Gardeners.
