Emil was born on March 5th, 1896 in Berlin, Germany and his confirmation took place on March 20th, 1910 in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Melrose Park, Illinois conducted by Pastor E. Zapf. He had a brother named Edward.  He was the older of the two children.  He died  due to Rhumatic Heart Condition at the age of 56 on January 22nd, 1953 in Melrose Park, Ill.
