Hugo was born on February 12th, 1873 in Bussin.1   Hugo's father was Theodor Schwedler and his mother was Wilhelmine Nitz.  His paternal grandfather was Jakob Gottfried Schwedler. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Franz, Max, Marta and Hedwig.  He died at the age of 83 on February 25th, 1956 in Groß-Hundorf, Amt Grevesmühlen.2
