Herbert Kolwitz

Herbert was born on July 14th, 1898 in Elgin, Illinois. Herbert's father was Charles F Kolwitz and his mother was Helena Mina Landwehr. His maternal grandparents were Johann Gerhard Landwehr and Marguratte Niehaus. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Carl, Melvin, Roy, Evelyn and Margaret. He was the third oldest of the six children.
